Jeff Fucci joined BMB Law Firm in the Spring of 2017 as a Senior Associate. A rising lawyer with a love of his home state of New Jersey and its people, Jeff says he was drawn to BMB Law Firm in order to pursue greater client engagement and relationship building, and to make sure that the law serves all. Working on Civil Rights, Personal Injury, Municipal Law and other causes of action, Jeff prides himself on results for his clients, whether through a zealously-written motion, hard-fought argument before a judge in federal or state court, or tough negotiation prior to trial.

Prior to joining BMB, Jeff was a defense attorney at DeCotiis, FitzPatrick, Cole and Giblin, LLP. He clerked after law school for the Hon. Ernest M. Caposela, Assignment Judge of the Superior Court, Passaic Vicinage, where he was responsible for advising the judge on the disposition of civil motions, criminal appeals, foreclosure cases and condemnation actions, including the ongoing Department of Transportation expansion of State Highway Route 46. Jeff also mediated landlord tenant and small claims disputes for the Special Civil Division.

Jeff is a graduate of Vermont Law School, top of his class at magna cum laude. While attending VLS, he was a student clinician in the school’s Land Use Clinic, working for the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources on keeping the state’s open spaces clean, safe, and preserved. He was also a member of the school’s Criminal Law Clinic, where he honed his practice skills from some of the State’s best defense attorneys. He was a litigator on the traveling Intensive Trial Practice Team, and briefed and appealed a prohibited weapons case before the Vermont Supreme Court. Learning the law in the middle of the mountains, Jeff could frequently be found leading hiking tours, helping residents repair their farms after Irene, and hosting a local radio show as a break from his studies.

Jeff received the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Award and Alumni Association Award upon graduation. In addition to his J.D., Jeff holds Masters degrees from Vermont Law School in Environmental Law and Public Policy, and from Seton Hall University in Public Administration. He is an adjunct professor at Seton Hall University, where he teaches Environmental Law and Sustainable Practices.

A lifelong New Jersey resident, Jeff has previously served as a spokesperson for the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission (now part of the New Jersey Sports and Exhibition Authority), as Deputy Communications Director for Senator Paul A. Sarlo, District 36, and as a journalist for a regional weekly newspaper. He was instrumental in the creation of the Development Offices of both Saint Joseph Regional High School in Montvale, where he attended high school, and the Academy of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Tenafly, where he spent several years coordinating fundraising campaigns, events, outreach and charity programs.
