State v. T. R.

Conspiracy and Robbery Trial: NOT GUILTY

At the age of 16, Mr. Robinson was shot multiple times by an off-duty police detective who then alleged that Mr. Robinson had attempted to rob him. Ms. Barnett gave voice to a young man whose story contradicted someone in a position of power and respect. Ultimately, Mr. Robinson was vindicated, and found not guilty of conspiracy and robbery. For the lone count of unlawful possession of a weapon, he received probation. For more information on this case, please see: Robbery Suspect, 16, Is Shot And Hospitalized in Newark
