Through her shrewd cross-examinations, Ms. Barnett was able to establish through the testimony of witnesses and the alleged victim that she had a long history of making false accusations, and lying about everything and anything. The credibility of her claims was very weak as a result, and the State could not meet its burden to provide enough evidence for a jury to make the decision.
